Born in Edmonton and raised in downtown Toronto, Jessica Doria-Brown has studied and worked in cities across Canada and around the world, fueled by curiosity and a desire to tell stories amid the breakneck pace of the 24-hour news cycle.
Fluently bilingual in French and English, Jessica holds an honours degree from Queen’s University, where, amidst contributing to campus publications and polishing her own prose, she specialized in English Literature, Creative Writing, and Literary Criticism. In 2008, she completed Sheridan College’s post-graduate Journalism-New Media program.
Since 2008, Jessica has worked in journalism, broadcasting and television production.
Jessica has worked for CBC’s National Radio News in Toronto; In Newfoundland and Labrador, for Rogers TV, Republic of Doyle and CBC NL; in Moncton and Fredericton for CBC NB; and in Charlottetown for CBC PEI.
An accomplished reporter, shooter/editor, and producer, Jessica files stories for news and current affairs, for TV, radio and the web.
